A logo is basically the little picture that sits beside your business name. Think Golden Arches - when we see these, we immediately think of McDonalds.
It is a reflection of your business. It can be fun like the Pillsbury Doughboy or stylish like the blue circle of Chase bank.
Your logo can tell your customers more about you. It distinguishes you from your competition. It provides a reminder to your customers of who you are.
There are 3 Types of Logos. 1. Text Logo - Logo using just the business name in bold colors and font. 2. Picture Logo - A picture that creates the symbol for your business. This could be a character or a graphic design. 3. Combination Logo - This logo incorporates both the text and picture.
Brainstorm Time: Use your Word program and play around with your business name with different colors and fonts. WordArt is another way to test out different designs.
For a picture, grab a piece of paper and scribble away. Browse through clipart for ideas. Word and Publisher are good starting points. Or just try searching on internet. Ideas only - please do not take someone else's work.
